My very first job, straight out of university, was on the BBC One series EastEnders. A ‘baptism of fire’ is a good way of describing my early weeks on the show. I didn’t have the first idea about cameras and shots and was consistently told to stop moving around so much. God help those poor directors! I had to learn how to bring everything I knew about acting in theatre to the small screen, and fast.

That was over 20 years ago, and my 2 years in on ‘the Square’ were an amazing training in TV acting that enabled me to carry on a career that led to lead roles opposite some wonderful veteran actors.

Now I want to share some of what I’ve learnt with you.

If you’re an actor who has worked mainly in theatre and would love a safe space and a good teacher to gain confidence in acting for screen, then you’ve come to the right place. I can help you understand the way TV and Film acting works, teach you how to navigate the set, and master the all important ‘Self Tape Audition’ that has become a staple of the casting call these days.

If you’ve an audition coming up that you want help to tape for, get in touch and I’ll help you rehearse, tape and edit the final piece.

I am available for one to one coaching as well as small groups.
